Job Summary:
We are a fast paced, well established Telecom related company with its head office located in India, and subsidiary companies with offices in Ottawa, Ontario and Regina, Saskatchewan.
A 3 day per week position is available for a motivated, knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist to assist our head of Human Resources in India.
The candidate is required to be a career-oriented individual with strong leadership skills, high work ethic and excellent interpersonal abilities and internal drive to get the job done. The candidate will thrive in a team environment, have the ability to multi-task and exercise sound decision-making.
Competencies required:
Diploma in Human Resources
At least 3 years of experience in the Human Resources field
Sound knowledge of compensation and benefits administration
Performance Management system experience
Knowledge of Visa and work permit process
Responsibilities:
Staffing function:
a. Manpower planning and Maintain head count as per the requirements
b. Responsible for entire recruitment process.
- Collect resumes and review, shortlist and map them to the requirements, arrange for interview and selection process
- HR Interview
- Finalise at a appropriate level and extend offer.
- Manage employee contract documents
c. Coordinate for candidates joining, arrange for office, infrastructure complete joining formalities and manage employee orientation and engagement program
OD & Performance Management System
a. Organisation structure update and management
b. Define roles and responsibilities of all the positions as per the process and communicate the employees and maintain documents
c. Employee engagement tracking
d. Define KRA and KPIs, maintain data of the same
e. Quarterly, half yearly and annual performance review process
f. Manage skills matrix documents and update periodically
Training and development:
a. Co-ordinate for training need identification
b. Prepare annual training calendar
c. Plan and execute training program in a cost effective manor
d. Evaluate training effectiveness
Compensation and benefits management
a. Compensation and benefits management
b. Benefits program administration as per the company policy
c. Answer any employee questions and grievance handling.
d. Prepare record and database maintenance
e. Track vacation, sick and flex time used by employees.
Other HR Function:
a. Work permit process
b. Employee retention
c. HR Budget and cost control
d. Employee relations management
e. Maintain employee related matrix
f. Employee engagement initiatives
g. Strategic initiatives and monitor progress
h. Balance Score Card Implementation and tracking
i. Manage and ensure all statutory requirements
j. Employee communication
k. Report employee related sensitive information to Head – HR and assist in addressing the same
l. MIS
m. Any other HR related jobs assigned from to time
Payroll
a. Collecting and verifying staff hours worked (CAD & USD).
b. Prepare commission and payroll amounts based on info provided by Manager Finance and Accounting
c. Send approved payroll information to Payroll Company (ADP).
d. File payroll reports from Payroll Company.
e. Distribute pay stubs to employees.
f. Ensure annual T4 prepared by ADP are correct
g. Assist with month end procedures related to payroll and vacation accruals.
